Zooming Widgets

You can zoom desktop control widgets with the mouse wheel. This also works with Apple Magic Mouse.

Keyboard Shortcuts:

  •  ‘ctrl <‘ for zoom out (no need to hold the shift) and ‘ctrl >’ for zoom in. (Mac: option < or option >)
  •  ’ctrl -‘ for zoom out (no need to hold the shift) and ‘ctrl +’ for zoom in. (Mac: option – or option +)
  • ctrl-0 (zero not letter O) (Mac: option-0) to return to default normal view

When an open widget becomes small enough it will ‘iconify’ itself, becoming a colored rectangle with an image and text. While in icon form move the widget by dragging with either the right or left mouse button.

When a iconified widget is zoomed out it will open to allow access to its features. It can also be double-clicked to expand it. Double clicking when it is open will return it to the iconified form.

Control widgets remember their size when double clicked and return to that size when double clicked again. So if you double-click an icon it will expand to the size it was when you last double-clicked the open widget to iconify and when you double-click an open widget it will return to its last icon size.

When the icon is expanded it can be dragged around by clicking on the top bar and dragging with the mouse button down. If you use the right mouse button then it can be dragged by clicking anywhere on the widget.
