A form stack consists of a selection of data forms (the data records) of a particular master form. Various filter, selection and sort criteria control which data forms end up in the form stack.
For transactions, which are period based, there are special selection criteria for the current and previous year:
Opening – which choose all transactions in the fiscal year up to but not including the current period
Current – which choose all transactions only in the current period
Closing – which choose all transactions in the fiscal year up to and including the current period
Detail lines on a form are like a list of mini-forms. In Formever form stacks can be a stack of detail lines, treating each detail line like a form.

- Employees hired this year
- General Ledger Revenue
- Accounts to the Current Period
